The Democratic Members of the House of Representatives seem to think the American people are stupid. House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy doesn’t . He ripped the Democratic Party’s latest Coronavirus relief package Monday; saying far-left lawmakers are using the crisis to “enforce their socialism” and other liberal policies.

“It’s really sickening that the Democrats are using this opportunity to enforce their socialism,” McCarthy told Fox News. “Remember, what is this bill that they just passed on Friday? Well, it’s about pot, it’s about prisoners, it’s about politicizing election law, prioritizing illegal immigrants and pensions.”

The bill that  Nancy Pelosi personally made sure had enough democratic votes to pass, included amnesty for illegal immigrants, and funding for parts of the Green New Deal.

“These are all things that are socialist wish lists that they’ve been trying to pass long before COVID ever came to this land, and that’s exactly what they’re trying to do, knowing that it will not go anywhere,” McCarthy added.

“But what you’ve seen in the House is not something designed to deal with reality but designed to deal with aspirations. This is not a time for aspirational legislation,” said Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell. “This is a time for practical response to the coronavirus pandemic.”

You can’t Stop American Entrepreneurs

Socialism? You can try it, but you can’t stop Americans from figuring out a way to get ahead.

A pizza restaurant ownewr realized that DoorDash had priced one of its pizzas incorrectly. “A pizza that he charged $24 for was listed as $16 by Doordash,” the owner said. For traders and active investors that means one thing. Buy low sell high!

So the pizza restaurant owner ordered 10 of his own pizzas just to see if Doordash would catch on. They didn’t…sure enough, he paid $16 for the pizzas in his Doordash app, chose the “pickup” option and obviously never picked them up. Doordash paid him $24 for each pizza netting him $8 of profit per pizza.

You might think this is stealing…unethical, but think about it this way. Doordash had essentially bullied this restaurant into working with them in the first place by placing ads in Google claiming they offered delivery. They were a pickup only restaurant, until people started calling and complaining that Google said they offered delivery through Doordash. After a number of bad Google and Yelp reviews based only on this fact, they signed up with Doordash. So “F” Doordash, if they use bullying tactics in the first place.

You can’t stop Americans from finding these little legal, money-making loopholes, no matter what Bernie Sanders and AOC says.

Moderna Inc (NASDAQ: MRNA) Could Fall $9

Moderna Inc. (NASDAQ: MRNA)  had a huge jump on Monday due to the positive news of their early stage trial. The company said a test in 8 healthy volunteers found its experimental vaccine was safe and provoked a strong immune response. It is on an accelerated timetable to begin larger human trials soon.

The preliminary findings, in the first eight people who each received two doses of the experimental vaccine, has to be repeated in far larger tests in hundreds and then thousands of people, to find out if the vaccine can work in the real world. Moderna’s technology, involving genetic material from the virus called mRNA, is relatively new and has yet to produce any approved vaccine. Yes, you read that right. This is their first shot at an approved vaccine with new technolgy. That doesn’t mean it won’t work, but it does imply that the 34.7% rally that we saw Monday might be a little much. The stock gave back $7 the same day, then another $4 by mid-day Tuesday.

This is not a sell note on the stock, but you’re going to see a lot of people “in-the-know” telling you the stock will go up another 25%-30% and it might, but not off of these 8 people in this tiny study. The stock can easily fall another $9 and still reflect the optimism of this early stage trial.

Volkswagen is Doing an EV R-Model

In February, we started getting more hints that Volkswagen plans to build and sell a lineup “ID.R” electric performance cars. Now, Volkswagen executives have confirmed that it’s in the works. Whether you’re a fan of EV’s or not, this is a huge reason to cheer. Performance cars are a positive no matter what is driving the engine.

Last week, VW Group board member Jürgen Stackmann was quoted as saying, “The future of R needs to be and will be electric. We’re still working on what we started two and a half years ago – which was obviously not electric, though exciting – but the work going forward is and will be electrified.”

Volkswagen R is the brand used by Volkswagen to indicate a high-performance model. The R badge is best known for its use on the Golf R, but there are about a half-dozen R models. It is also the designation of their electric race car.

In January, Volkswagen unveiled the four-wheel-drive electric Golf eR1 (shown above) at the Ice Race GP in Zell, Austria. The battery-electric concept vehicle drifted around the snow-covered track.

Also last week, Jost Capito, the head of Volkswagen’s R performance brand, spoke with Motor Trend. He said: “We have the ID.3 that comes out this year. So, we feel we are in the perfect situation to do an electric R model. But first, we have to understand what the excitement for a performance electric vehicle is.”

He added that it’s “quite easy to achieve impressive zero-to-60 times in an electric vehicle. I think electric cars must have more character than that.”

Capito explained that the eR1 was the first test mule for the ID.R racing car. So there are links between the technology developed for the ID.R and an EV that you and I can buy someday. Capito said:

The company has unveiled so many different models that it’s hard to keep track of what’s coming and when. You can now add a high-performance R-model to the list.

‘Glow up’ and transformation videos are trending on social media as users show older photos of themselves before revealing what they look like now. With so many clips being posted, it’s may be hard to get noticed – but one woman’s video has racked up more than 15 million views on TikTok after she shared her drastic ‘new look’.

Jaqueline Alarcão went viral after posting a series of photos showing her to have crooked and overlapping teeth which protruded from her mouth to having a set of pearly whites most people dream of.

She captioned the clip: “Before and after I married a dental surgeon.” Jaqueline, from Brazil, has more than 151,000 followers on TikTok and 15,000 on Instagram, and the post was widely shared as people were left stunned by the transformation.

As millions and millions of people viewed and shared the video, it also attracted more than 10,000 comments. Many were left in awe, as one wrote: “Amazing!! So glad he could fix that for you.” Another said: “Well that’s a glow up!”

Cosmetic surgeons and beauty professionals even shared it on their social media channels to praise the work. As more and more people viewed Jaqueline’s clip, some spoke out to question if the transformation had been faked, as many claimed it was ‘not possible’. And it turns out they were right to be skeptical. After the ‘transformation’ blew up online, Jaqueline has since admitted that she jokingly faked it by wearing a set of fake teeth.

Posting a follow up video, she showed herself using the prop before revealing her real smile with the caption: “I managed to troll you guys!”

Seriously who are these people? Who has time for this?
